Taking off in Silicon Valley biohacking developed into the whole movement which motto is to boost one’s cognitive and physical performance over the acceptable human limits. To say it shorter: to become a superhuman.
Isn’t it a everyone’s childhood dream to obtain some superpower? Time travel and teleportation might sound too much for now but at least we can work together on optimizing our diet for a longer and more hedonistic living. Let this post be the start of The Jar’s series on biohacking in 3 steps.
Step 1: Deep Sleep
Starting from the very essentials deep sleep is crucial to support our body and mind throughout the day. Deep sleep increases glucose metabolism that is responsible for your brain activity and memory. Want to learn and remember more? First thing – sleep more. Take your 7-9 hours of sleep and don’t blame yourself for being lazy! Make it your new routine and you will see results very soon. Just don’t forget that it should be systematic to show the progress.

Step 2: Meditation
This step might be the hardest one for many of us, especially when you live in such hectic city as London where everything seems working 24/7. If proper mediation routines look way too terrifying start from the moments of mindfulness. Just take few minutes a day to leave gadgets aside and focus on what surrounds you and how you feel at this exact moment. Count your breathing, deeply inhale and exhale, it will help you to learn how to stay emotionally stable and distance yourself from the rush.
Tip: Concentrate on what you see around you and not on what you think about it.
Step 3: Eat Well
Biohacking focuses a lot on fasting and its advantages to our body. However, not everyone is ready for such steps straight away and it is not even recommended for unprepared body to go into fasting for days without training. Or maybe it’s just us? Anyway, lets all start from two small things: cut added sugars and get more superfoods.
